What is Stephen Ministry?
The
Stephen Series from Stephen Ministries is a
complete system for training and organizing lay
people to provide one-to-one Christian care to
hurting people in and around your congregation.
Stephen Leaders are the pastors, church staff,
and lay leaders who have attended a Stephen
Series Leader's Training Course and now direct
their congregation's Stephen Ministry.
Stephen Ministers are those trained and
supervised lay caregivers who provide one-to-one
Christian care to hurting people.

What is the Austin
Area Stephen Ministry Network?
The Austin Area
Stephen Ministry Network is comprised of
representative Stephen Leaders from
participating Stephen Ministry congregations,
from various denominations, scattered throughout
the Austin area in Texas. The network was
re-organized in 2006, to help strengthen and
encourage existing and new Stephen Ministry
programs through the sharing of experience,
ideas, talent, and resources.
What is the cost involved?
There are no dues
assessed on any member, however
donations are welcome
in order to support the AASMN Web Site services
and scheduled AASMN events.
Where Are Network Meetings Held and How Often?
Austin Area Stephen
Ministry Network Meetings will be quarterly. Meetings are held at member churches,
usually at predetermined date and time. E-mail
and website notices inform members of the
location, time, and date of upcoming network
meetings.
Who Presides Over the Network Meetings?
Stephen Leaders
volunteer to lead our network. They will send
out e-mail notices to Network Stephen
Churches/Leaders in order to let them know of
the date/time/location of network meetings. To
be included in the network email list,

How Can My Church Join This Network?
If your church is in the Austin or its
surrounding area and is an enrolled Stephen
Ministry congregation, it's easy to join!

Stephen Ministry. When your church registers, it
is recommended that a Stephen Leader with an
email address is provided. After registering,
other Stephen Leaders can then be added to the
network email list. Just
